Forza Horizon 6: Toyota 2000GT Barn Find Location Guide

Post by SilentStorm »

There is nothing quite like the thrill of chasing down a Barn Find in Forza Horizon. That sudden flash of a purple rumor circle on your map always triggers a nice hit of nostalgia, sending us off-road to hunt through dense forests and forgotten corners. If you are currently tearing it up through the beautiful landscapes of Forza Horizon 6, you probably already have your eyes on one of the most elegant Japanese sports cars ever built: the legendary 1969 Toyota 2000GT.

This absolute masterpiece of automotive history is tucked away in the northern part of the map, and finding it is a pure joy. However, if you don't know exactly where to look or haven't checked off the entry requirements, you might find yourself driving in circles. Here is a straightforward, no-nonsense guide from one player to another on how to get this classic sitting in your garage.

The Prerequisites: Getting the Rumor to Trigger
Before you pack up your favorite off-roader and head out to the coast, you need to make sure the game will actually let you find the car. If you simply drive straight to the barn location early in the game, you will just find an unresponsive wooden shed. The barn find mechanic will not trigger, and you won’t get that sweet cinematic introduction.

Unlock Requirement: You must officially unlock the Toyota 2000GT rumor by progressing through the Discover Japan campaign tab.

Required Stamp Level: You need to hit the Tourist tier (Level 2 / Green Stamp). Once you reach this point in your campaign progression, the purple rumor circle will drop onto your map, signaling that the barn is active and ready for discovery.

Pinpointing the Location: Step-by-Step
Once the rumor circle appears over the northern Ito region, it is time to start the hunt. The car is hidden on the far east coast of the northern Ito region, beautifully situated right where the land meets the sea. Here is the exact route to take so you can drive right up to it:

Head Northeast to Ito: Start by making your way to the northern side of the Ito region. Set a temporary waypoint near the local landmark known as the Minka House to get yourself in the right neighborhood.

Take the Coastal Road: From there, jump onto the main asphalt road that hugs the east coast and head north. Keep an eye on the water to your right.

Watch for the Dirt Exit: As you drive north, look closely for a small dirt track exiting to the right. This path drops down off the main road and heads directly toward the beach and the seawall.

Search the Trees: About halfway down this dirt path, look to your left. You will see a small, isolated patch of trees nestled tight against the seawall. Turn directly into those woods. Tucked away comfortably between the branches is the old wooden barn holding your prize.

A Few Tips to Save You Time and Credits
Hunting in the woods can sometimes be a bit tedious, especially if you are doing it in the middle of a storm or at night. Here are a couple of practical tips to make the process smoother:

Use Your Drone: Instead of smashing your heavy car through fences and getting stuck on dense trees, pull up your creative hub menu and switch to Drone Mode. The drone moves incredibly fast and allows you to fly right over the top of the tree line. It is much easier to spot the distinctive roof of the garage from the air than it is from behind the wheel.

Be Patient with Restoration: Once you find the barn and the gorgeous cutscene wraps up, the Toyota 2000GT will be sent off to your garage for restoration. It takes a bit of time for the mechanics to clean her up, and the game will offer you a prompt to skip the wait for a steep credit fee. Unless you have millions of credits burning a hole in your virtual pocket, just ignore the fee. Go run a few races, complete some challenges, and before you know it, you will get a notification that this absolute icon is fully restored and ready for the track completely free of charge.
